I found Daria on Model Mayhem, one of several ladies I emailed with "hey, your shots look awesome, let's shoot and make some photo magic together!" I had to come to my place for the shoot, which, in retrospect, was a bit of a mistake. Put a weird, for me at least, vibe in the air. Makes me feel a bit vulnerable, truth be told. I live in a wee apartment, have nagging self-doubts about its impressiveness. Lets folks in a bit too much, having them come to my place. But I'm also not a fan of meeting in a park or some such thing, too informal, too many things I can't control. But we're strangers, it Also doesn't feel quite right asking to come to their places, though that would be my preference. That's how you get a sense of a person, how they operate in their own home, looking at all the things they surround themselves with. So she came to my place. And our shoot was fast, too fast. I liked her look, enjoyed the interaction, but with her coming to me, there was this internal pressure to be all business, the desire to take my time was combated by the fact that she was at my house to shoot, not shoot the shit. That's another advantage to going to them, you can talk a bit more, lounge around, they're in their comfort zone, that tension is lessened. All this is a way of saying, I need to shoot her again. Because I liked what I got. And I want to do better. Daria and The Wall o' Roids, up on the blog: blog.louobedlam.com/post/103313019/it-is-both-awesome-and...
