This is available in print at Jökulsárlón 4:20 am, 5 minutes or so before the sun popped over the distant mountains.. driving the whole night (left home 10 pm, arrived around 4 am) to have the place to myself payed off. I was expecting at least a handful of travelers to be up and about to catch the sunrise over this breathtaking lagoon, but it was just me and the birds, as i'd hoped . (someone may remember another splash photo taken at this same location 2 years ago.. i always wanted to re-do this with the splash in better focus, as the first one can't really handle being blown up to a proper print size) more on my blog
