"a picture is worth a thousand words". but what if the picture constantly changes as well? in the "wired" series, i was aiming for a series of cups that would work to form a bigger picture. but i didnt want to stop at that, i wanted it to also work whatever ways it was arranged, or oriented (in this case, the telephone wires in all the cups will always match up). as seen here, viewers can choose to either have a portrait of two old friends out on a day with their dog, or a house out in the middle of nowhere. this isnt something i could do on a flat canvas.
