One Eighty Six of Three Sixty Five: Airborne

Yep, you heard me. I'm picking it back up. And don't even begin to tell me that technically this is no longer a 365 because it's MY 365 damnit, I can do what I want with it. There's just a small lapse of about three weeks. Deal with it. Lots of new developments to tell you!!!! I'm still going into the military, but I changed branches - I'm now going into the Air Force instead of the Army. Everything fell into place in such a way that the Air Force is just going to be a lot better for me. It fits in more with who I am and what I'm all about, and I have also found that there are more job opportunities for me in that branch. Don't get me wrong - I still love the Army, but for me, personally, the Air Force is a better match. I took the ASVAB (the test that you have to take before joining any of the branches), and scored high enough that all but a couple of jobs in the Air Force will be open to me. I'm really happy...I desperately want to serve overseas as much as I can, and there are just more opportunites for me to be stationed outside the US in the Air Force as opposed to the Army. Plus, my Air Force recruiter has been a lot more helpful than the one I had in the Army (again, not knocking the Army, I'm just saying that I personally had a bad experience with my recruiter) and is really going out of her way to help me get on the best possible path. However, the wait period between enlistment and going to Basic Training is a little longer for the Air Force...4-6 months as opposed to 2-4 for the Army. So, that means I will, most likely, be able to finish my 365. I've also gotten over a lot of the stress that was eating at me when I dropped my 365, so I'm ready to jump back in. Picking up where I left off, this is #186. I promise my descriptions will NOT be this wordy every day. PS - If you guys don't fave this, I'm quitting again. Just kidding.
