Utilizing the intricate craftsmanship of framemaking in the context of contemporary art, anitque frames are filled with their own content using custom molds built from digital processes. Taylor Holland’s Fra[mes] project was born of the idea that, after repeated visits to the Musée du Louvre, he was more interested in the artistic merit of the frame than the art itself.
