YSL BEAUTY Unveils « Push the Boundaries », a Documentary on Talents that Shift the Borders of Society

Push The Boundaries is a brand new documentary series, narrated by YSL Beauty, where creative talents dare to play with the limits imposed by society, proving that they are not immutable. The brand is committed to supporting those who have the courage to stand out and break boundaries, with the documentary Push The Boundaries and the “YSL Beauty Zone” event.

A possible new world order is revealed to you through the first three parts of a gripping documentary. Each episode takes you on a journey through the everyday life and unusual journey of a talented and passionate female figure: dancer and choreographer Badgyal Cassie, DJ Chloe and game player Jasmine tell us how they rebelled and fought to make a place for themselves and finally, each in their own way, shake things up. Shot handheld, the documentary is immersive and immerses us in the past, present and future of these heroines.

An immersive and gripping documentary .

Each film begins with a shot of the heroine splitting the screen in two, as if pushing societal norms.  After her morning beauty routine, each of the three embarks on a narrow corridor and then immerses herself in her city, with a determined attitude that inspires courage and the desire to excel. At the end of each episode, the heroine concludes with a vibrant call to keep pushing the limits.

In the first video by Laura Marciano, we learn the story of Afro dancer and choreographer Cassie. For her, learning to dance was a path to freedom and a way to project her individuality, rather than hiding behind an expected norm. Today, she is on a mission to teach young girls to face the world on their own terms.
