UK-based studio Dorothy’s produces prints, products, and artworks that are sold and exhibited internationally. In their “Stamp Collections”, they created posters of stamp books that celebrate great literature and others that celebrate the most influential post-punk, post-rock, psych, electronic and alternative albums from the last 50 years. For example, “Classics”, celebrates much-loved literary classics from the XVIIth century to the start of the first world war. “We’ve reimagined 42 influential classic books as a series of oversized postage stamps beginning with Miguel de Cervantes’s Don Quixote, a book which is often described as the first modern novel and was once voted by authors as the ‘most meaningful book of all time’ and closing with Ford Maddox Ford’s The Good Soldier, published at the beginning of the first world war and increasingly cited as an early example of modernism”, they explain on their website.
