Before practicing the art in which he currently thrives Stan Herd began as a painter and muralist. Today, he is a major artist and creates figurative works using clay as a canvas. His work has been in progress for 40 years and includes both commercial works with large corporations, as well as monumental artworks in China, Cuba, Australia, Brazil, and 13 states in the US. His activism and social commitment have helped define this new art form, which allows him to express his love for the land of the first peoples of the Americas, whose attachment to nature defined their culture.
