Ani Cuenca creates beautiful collages of illustrations on wooden panels. Composed of florals patterns, the complete work is a fluid unit, where the lines communicate smoothly. To her, “None of us sees the world as it really is: each of us sees it according to our shared and individual stories, the colors you see may not be the same as the colors someone else sees. From this understanding, I chose to create a black and white nature, so that everyone has their own color depending on their imagination. This understanding led me to develop my drawings in black and white, using Indian ink as the main working tool”, as she explains in her statement.
