The Avenue des Champs-Élysées, often called the most beautiful avenue in the world, is one of the main tourist attractions in Paris. Although it is still very busy, Parisians and tourists alike agree that the weather has not been kind to this avenue. Fortunately, the 250 million euro, or approximately $305 million, renovation program put in place by Mayor Anne Hidalgo could help restore its beauty and reputation. The architecture and urban planning agency PCA-stream has designed a plan for an “extraordinary garden” that includes half the number of cars and claims much more green space and pedestrian movement.
