Art professor Andrei Petrov is launching a human-sized art museum “Bestiary 5+” in 2017. Created as a simple page on the Russian social network VKontakte, “Bestiary 5+” brings together the artistic works of children. This professor’s virtual gallery consists of photos of ceramics, drawings, mysterious animals and surreal portraits. “One student always sculpted ducks, only ducks. Thanks to her works, our page launched. The only sculpture, that was not a duck, was her New Year gift to me” he recounts. Then add, “Over the time, I realized that children unconsciously make an imaginary museum. Not knowing the history of art, they create works that could reevaluate existing masterpieces.”
