During COVID-19 seniors were faced with very harsh isolation and a state of stress that received very little media coverage. The senior care facilities therefore tried in several ways to maintain morale by offering creative activities that fostered interaction within the Hospices.

While residents of the Amenida senior community recreated famous works of art for the Getty Museum Challenge, residents of the Sydmar Lodge nursing home in Edgware, England, decided to follow a musical journey. Activities coordinator Robert Speker organized a photo shoot of the residents, which allowed them to recreate the famous album covers of iconic musical artists, from Elvis Presley to Taylor Swift. The result of this photo shoot has gone viral on the web, becoming an example of art under confinement. It has also raised awareness of the cause of the most fragile people isolated during the pandemic.
