At a time when the Black Lives Matter movements are showing the urgency to assert the rights of all blacks around the world, a unique private collection has been discovered and unveiled. Composed of a portfolio of business cards from the 19th century, it brings together portraits rarely presented in the history of art of black Victorians. At the head of this collection of unique images, the historian, writer and photographer Valerie Wilmer who wanted to build an anthology of black Great Britain from the 19th century.
