It was during a road trip in Morocco, between Tangier and Sidi Ifni that the new zealand art director and photographer Jacob Howard realized his project “The In-Between”. “Somewhere along the way in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, I started to notice a few enigmatic structures and houses. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, whether or not they were incomplete, abandoned, or on hold” remembers the photographer.

These surprising and isolated constructions quickly became the main subject of his series, which deals with the unfinished and abandoned as much as passing time. The idea was built around a curiosity for the unknown, with an interest in liminal spaces, unexpected encounters and moments of change” details the author of the project.
