The illustrator, Anayat Ali, decided to take inspiration from his native country for his latest series: India.
The artist looked at the culture of the inhabitants of Ladakh, a cold desert in the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Between Muslim and Buddhist culture, the inhabitants are distinguished by different hairstyles worn by members of different tribes.The project results in a magnificent series of watercolour paintings paying tribute to a population with a rich folklore.
