I don’t have a sister, maybe that’s why I look for her in every woman” wrote Maria Clara Macrì in her book 13 Moons to Find Her, which will be published soon. This quest for sorority was carried out through a series of portraits (the project was originally entitled In Her Rooms) for which the Italian photographer met dozens of women around the world. In the ferment of big cities like Barcelona, Paris, New York, London or Milan, unknown women invited the artist to immortalize them in the intimacy conferred by their room and their nudity. By dropping the clothes, Maria Clara Macrì leaves the stereotypes on the doorstep and highlights the beauty and energy of the female bodies.
