At the crossroads of anatomy and embroidery, there’s Moleculart. Medical graduate, artist Emmi Khan, based in Cardiff, Wales, created this project in 2014, starting to embroider hearts, veins, and eyeballs. Her drawings became more realistic when she entered at university, as she studied biomedical sciences, before becoming more experimental. With her colorful paintings (offered for sale on Etsy), Emmi Khan proves that it is possible to combine the implacable logic of science with creative artistic expression.
