Ruslan Khasanov Ruslan Khasanov is a designer from Russia. With the motto “beauty is everywhere”, he uses visual art to create hypnotic works of all kinds. In the series “Distortion”, the artist used old CDs and DVDs that he destroyed in different ways to obtain new colors and textures. It captures each CD’s physical / chemical reactions, giving rise to an almost surreal abstract photo series.
« I was inspired to create this project by an old, scratched CD with 90s music, which just lay on the street and shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow under the sun. On a deformed surface, textures formed that bizarrely changed colors. »
