On the occasion of the London 2019 design festival, French designer Camille Walala transformed a street of the British capital : South Molton Street became the « Walala Lounge » for a week. Bordered with street furniture in a colorful and graphic style, the pedestrian street has turned into an immersive color corridor. With 10 uniquely designed benches, the entire urban living room also interacted with the existing architecture to create a perfectly coherent ensemble.

“Cities can be so grey, it can feel really oppressive sometimes. I want to change how it feels to live in a big city, to inject some colour and light into people’s days” explains the designer.
