During the Festival des Architectures Vives (FAV) held in Montpellier last June, around 19,000 people have discovered many art installations. The event aims to raise awareness about architecture and its impact by presenting many original creations of architects and urban planners. «The festival seeks to make an impression, to initiate a global reflection on architecture and its development in an existing urban context and finally, to create a dialogue between contemporary works and heritage. Mediators are present on each site», specifies the organization.

The teams creating ephemeral works were selected through a call for applications. They come from France and abroad. Here are some pictures from this year’s edition. For more information, visit the festival website.
