KaloolaJay Studio is a graphic design studio created by Kate, an architect. She realizes digital prints by taking inspiration from mid century architecture and Art Deco designs, that she mixes using pastel colors and elements from tropical islands.

« I’ve always enjoyed art and drawing. I remember when I was younger, I would spend hours sketching and planning out my dreamy home. » she tells us.

Kate decided to start her KaloolaJay Studio when she was in the final year of her architecture studies at the University of Sheffield. « I felt a huge desire to just make something, so I decided to create my own artwork and prints. » she confides us.

Since the beginning, Kate has worked on some projects and has never stopped to realize a lot of prints that she sells commercially. She has an Etsy shop that you can discover them here.

« I find inspiration in many places but I’m a huge fan of travel documentaries and find them so captivating. Photographs are my biggest source of inspiration. I’m obsessed with the #accidentallywesanderson feed on Instagram and have a new found love for Japanese packaging ! » she tells us.
