Karel Chladek is a Montreal based photographer.
For several years, he has been touring nightclubs to photograph those moments when two people come together. These furtive and private moments, so brief and intense, where two strangers meet, talk to each other, touch each other, or secretly kiss each other, in the middle of a crowd or in dark corners.
These shots are gathered in a serie that the artist has titled « No more I love you ». What surprises us the most is how Karel captures these moments of love and makes them so phantasmagorical, almost unreal. The fact of not using a flash to only capture the natural light of places (neon and spotlights) improves this feeling. We love it !
