Euphrates, a Japanese artist collective led by Masahiko Sato has created an experimental short film about the movements of a ballet dancer using the rotoscoping method. Rotoscopy is a traditional method of animation. The process involves shooting with real actors and drawing the frame-by-frame to reproduce the movements of the subjects with realism.
