Lukas Furlan shows the diversity of the Canary Islands, Spanish archipelago off the North West coast of Africa, here for the V part of his series. The photographer, based in Austria, had chosen one of the “few places in Europe where you can travel also in the winter time and still have quite nice and warm weather” he says. One of the two reasons that convinced him. The other is the character of each of the islands. Before deciding, Lukas discovered, through the images, but also Google Earth, that the landscapes were unique and different there: « each Island has it’s own character, from deep forests, mountains to dunes and volcanos, it’s all there », he says. An incredible natural frame, a beauty magnified thanks to his photographs.
