For three years now, the Polar Festival has taken us to the heart of Scandinavian and Nordic culture by honoring creators who come from or take inspiration from its culture. The event will be held this year in Paris from 10 to 22 April in different places such as Gaîté Lyrique, The Finnish Institute, The House of Denmark, The Pavilion of Canals or the REcyclerie and Point Ephemeral. The public will be invited to attend several events such as photographic exhibitions, talks, live shows and screenings. If you want to experience Scandinavian culture not just enjoying the Fjord dessert, this is the event for you.

At the Pavillon des Canaux, the French photographer Sly Jackysson will present one of his series dedicated to Iceland in which he explores the play of lights that dress the landscapes and large expanses of the land of ice. An exhibition to discover from 10th to 30th April.

Conferences are also offered. The public will be able to learn more about polar explorations and those who take part in them. A unique opportunity to share an inspiring topic that stirs the curiosity of many of us. Many screenings will also be organized. The short NORTHBOUND: Skateboarding on Frozen Sand will be screened at the Cité Fertile in Pantin. A magnificent skate escape on the frozen sand of Norway in the rhythm of breathtaking images accompanied by a dreamlike music.
