« A few months ago, I decided to leave everything behind and move to New Zealand. It was that ultimate goal I knew I had to achieve one day », says Jesse Echevarria. The Puerto Rican photographer took a personal challenge and did something he always wanted to do. « I can proudly say, this has been the biggest and best decision I’ve made in my life ». With this unique series, the artist offers magical highlights of his first months in his year-long journey throughout the country.

« In this time, I’ve captured breathtaking scenes from Auckland, the Taipu Caves, Raglan, Rotoura, Tauranga, the Forgotten Highway, Mt. Taranaki in New Plymouth and Wellington. The North Island’s geography is incredibly diverse, you can explore rainforests, beaches, hot springs, geysers, lakes, rivers, volcanoes, and of course, glowworm caves ».
