Al Mefer presents a new digital art series created with the help of various software. After the fictional mountainous landscapes with pink hues in «Experience of Nature», he has been interested in imaginary architectures with this numerical project entitled «Meditation-Escapes».
Inspired by both Cycladic, Islamic, Roman, Indian and Postmodern architectures, he says these invented buildings «were designed to evoke a feeling of calmness, meditation and simplicity, pale tones and warm shades creating an atmosphere of mystery and mindfulness […] The aim of the structures is to inspire its viewers to avoid their anxieties and let their minds stay tranquil.» In addition to immersing us into a minimalist and quiet universe, this series proves how the Spanish artist is as good behind a camera as behind a computer to make us travel!
