Hugh Hayden is a Texas-born artist who makes wooden furniture with a big peculiarity. Indeed, working with all kind of wood, the artist deliberately fails to remove their branches and twigs of origin. The use the pieces of furniture is, therefore, almost impossible as proper furniture.

The desire of the artist is to prove that a piece of furniture can blend into his natural environment without snagging. And, for his latest exhibition, Hayden used recovered materials at the United States-Mexico border, raising the issue of the dispute between the two countries over their common border.
