Marek Würfl is a self-taught portrait photographer based in Slovakia. Influenced by early Netherlandish painters, his stunning portraiture captures intimacy, calm and moments of solitude, a voyeur-like glimpse into his subject. Emulating mysterious yet compelling auras, we find ourselves drawn to the strangeness of the people he photographs. His models can be anyone from fashion models to construction workers, and this diversity is tied by his amazing talent to tell stories with a single image.
