In the series Percipere, artist and photographer Laura Berson visualises metaphysical doubt into something concrete. Exploring the phenomena called derealisation, which is a perception shift during trauma, prolonged exposure, stress, depression and temporal epilepsy, she creates striking images that hover between a person’s mind and the rest of the world using metaphors such as lava, icebergs, light and landscapes.
