Montreal based photographer Damián Siqueiros manages to capture almost theatrical pictures where dancers, through their bodies, interpret emotions and leave us with a dreamlike impression. Often, this multidisciplinary artist who studied Fine Arts in Mexico, paints his own sceneries and realizes the makeup of his models.
Always looking for a unique and luminous aestheticism, he pays a close attention to his staging and constantly collaborates with the dancers. Damián Siqueiros doesn’t want to photograph them when they pose, he wants to immortalize the entire spectrum of their movements in order to deliver messages beyond stereotypes.
