The project “So Far Away, Yet So Close” is French photographer Baptiste Ville d’Avray’s series of contemplative images of Morocco, a country he has visited on and off since 2009 and moved to as an expatriate in 2012. Approaching each frame as a visual narrative, his photographs all seem to tell a story, captivating our senses and fuelling our imaginations. His cinematographic style flirt the boundaries of documentary photography and poetry, a beautiful ode to his adopted city.

His work is currently exhibited in Rencontres Photographique du 10eme (Paris) and Archifoto (Strasbourg). Follow him on Instagram.
