As a child, photographer Michael O. Snyder used to look out his car window during long road trips to prevent carsickness — an unfortunate situation that inspired his whimsical series, Roof Runners, years later. Shot in Washington DC’s Columbia Heights, Snyder overlays pictures of himself jumping in the air with images of urban landscapes, recreating his fantasy of jumping from great heights, just the way a child might imagine it.

Snyder’s work as a documentary photographer and filmmaker has been featured in galleries, magazines, television and film festivals around the world. See more of his work here, and follow him on Instagram.
