For his New Order series, Australian photographer George Byrne based in Los Angeles was looking to spin ordinary urban scenes by focusing more on the colors and surfaces themselves. “When it comes to photography, if you choose to you stop utilizing depth, you are basically left with at shapes, color and texture – much like a Matisse cut-out”.
