American photographer William Eggleston was one of the pioneers of colour photography in the 60s. America was his main subject. Los Alamos features photographs taken on different road trips between 1966 and 1974. The project starts in the photographer’s home town, Memphis, and takes us all the way to Santa Monica through Los Alamos, a city in New Mexico where the nuclear bomb was developed and to which the series owes its title.
