The work of photographer Jeanette Hägglund is focused on architecture as shown by her previous séries. As a result, when a cloudy and rainy Swedish summer brought the artist to a seaside town marked by the explosion of mass tourism in the 1970s, she transformed her disappointment into a beautiful photographic project. This series entitled “Beyond the Beach” focuses on the brutalist architecture of the period. Thanks to her camera, the Swedish photographer enhances the buildings which contrast with the cloudless azure sky.
