Juliet Casella began doing collages during her teen when she covered her room’s walls with pictures from magazines and other supports. It was a sort of cure against boredom, a desire of escapism and exploration in unknown worlds. As an hyperactive artist, Juliet experiments a lot of different formats and media. Her vision of art is multifaceted and it includes also performances and sculpture, which is actually more defined as “objects repurposing”. Her passion is however assembling images to tell stories. Her collages have been spotted by important brands such as Louis Vuitton, and her works have recently been exhibited in Japan. Fascinated by childhood and the violence of this age wrongly seen as “sweet and naive”, Juliet Casella collages are at the same time funny and intense, like parallel universes in which we lose ourselves and we let it all go.
