Alexander Petrosyan has been photographing Russia since the early 2000s, including Saint-Petersbourg, where he has lived since his birth. The second largest city of Russia, destroyed almost all during the Second World War is full of charm despite many contrasts. That is what the photographer tries to retranscribe by taking in witness the inhabitants of the Venice of the North, as shown by this selection of his many series.
