The Korean War took place between 1950 and 1953 and opposed the South Korea and North Korea. The most important international conflict after the World War II will make more that 1,5 million of dead people, and will offer an unchanged military situation, and also a very tense relationship between the North and the South. South Korea lived the worst human and material loses in its History.

Photographer Han Youngsoo, whom the work was not recognized after his death, was one of the rare photographers to immortalize the daily life of South Korea in the 50s and also after the War and he was a soldier during the conflict. He shows precious pictures of the life in Seoul between 1956 and 1963. Artist is exhibited at the International Center of Photography in Jersey City, in the New Jersey until June 9th.
