With P H A N T A S M A, the New Yorker Carla De La Matta and the Parisian Loïc Remy mixed their respective urban universes in order to give life to an imaginary and oneiric city. By superposing pictures of Paris and New York, with their recognizable architectural styles, the visual result reveals itself both surprising and majestic. In the end, it represents a way to feed their mutual fascination for each other’s city with reflections of Manhattan in the windows of the Louvre museum or the towers of the Parisian business district of La Défense along with the World Trade Center.
