While the submission to Sony World Photography Awards 2017 are closed since January 5th, a prize has been already given, called “Outstanding Contribution to Photography”. That is the famous British photographer Martin Parr who was awarded with this prize that celebrates the contribution of the artist to his art. He his known for documenting the society with humor and to have a great eye to catch the best situations. His pictures stay in memory of all of us. He will come to receive his prize on April 20th in London at the annual Sony World Photography Awards ceremony. He comes after William Eggleston, Elliott Erwitt, Mary Ellen Mark and William Klein.
