A star photographer, even more rock than his rockers friends, he now publishes a book to pay a tribute to David Bowie, The Rise of David Bowie 1972-1973. The project was a Taschen proposition aiming to diffuse some rare Bowie’s cliches. Mick Rock was originally skeptical, he was afraid of remembering this time. However, Bowie himself encouraged him, saying that there is no better way then photography to make passed lives again. After his friend disappeared, Mick Rock finally concretized the project, offering a unique vision of the young future super-star.
