Named Sunwheel, this installation illuminates the fountain of one of the main avenue of Porto, Portugal. The duo Moradavaga imagined this installation based on the symbols and traditions of the city: the round form symbolizes the wheels of traditional water mills, and the golden comes from pagan festivities of the sun’s cult, which became the Christian celebration of the city’s Holy Patron. On a wheel of 8 meters of diameter, the little golden tiles move according to the wind and shine differently in the daylight.
