Insolite, the Hofskirkja Church was built in Iceland, in 1884, by Páll Pálsson and Þorsteinn Gissurarson, with a vegetal and natural roof. With its history and its practical and beautiful design, this worship house is a back to the past since it’s the symbol of the little Iceland houses of this era. The grass grew on the big stones on the roof. It’s considered as on of the six monument in the Museum’s Historic Buildings Collection.
