Jana Brike is a talented Latvian painter, who lives in Riga. Very marked in her childhood by the terrifying war and deportation stories that her grandparents witnessed, by the folklore of fairy tales, the Russian animation films and classical painting, she depicts children, most of the time inspired by those who she meets in her city, blond, angelic, with diaphanous skin, but who disturb and hide secret some vices. Mystic, strange and seemingly fragile creatures but which in reality are the reflections of an unhealthy and wounded world.
