Alexandra Levasseur is a painter native of Quebec, Canada. After 10 years spent to live and to work in Costa Rica and in Barcelona, she settled down in Montreal. The techniques which she uses are diverse, from colored pencils to oil painting on wooden panels. She is inspired by artists like Matisse or Munch, for the composition of colors and the strong expressiveness. Her works depict most of the time the power of the femininity, in a scheming, mysterious atmosphere. The magic operates thanks to the union of realistic portraits on a background of cosmic and obsessing mountains and valleys.
