Joanne Leah is a Brooklyn-based artist ; when she were a child, she would explore the woods behind her house. She ventured alone, following a small creek. One winter day, she heard a man shout, and a pack of barking dogs ran toward her : she immediately dropped to the snowy ground and pretended to be dead. She has never felt that kind of fear before, the fear of being eaten alive. Her series, named Acid Mass, is inspired by this experience.
