Joe Freedman and his partner Ilisha Helfman are creators from Portland, Oregon. On their website LEAFpdx, they propose this incredible cycloid drawing machine, similar to those that we could find in the late 19th century, long before the invention of the spirograph. Without electricity and no motors, all that you have to make to begin one of these beautiful complex and visual drawings, is to start manually the crank.
