Iwajla Klinke is an artist based in Berlin. This photographer is passionate about the search for traditional costumes, witnesses of ancestral rites. She stages these cultural elements of village festivals in Sicily, in Romania or in Austria, through dark and almost austere portraits of young adults. Her poetic and nearly ethnological pictures are often exposed in galleries worldwide, Düsseldorf, or in the Grand Palais of Paris.
