New York-based artist Troy Huang, who moved to the Big Apple during his teenage years, is the author and designer of this splendid phosphorescent desk representing the East Coast megalopolis. After having studied design, he decided to focus on the very essence of the city, trying to express its energy and its complexity. The result is a desk where buildings and arteries printed in 3D intermingle and generate an aura after dark or when the lights are turned off. This work, titled New York City Desk, is a great representation of the captivating aspect of some cities: a combination of illuminations and shadow, of closeness and vastness. Similar projects are already planned for Chicago, Rome, Venice, Hong Kong and Barcelona.
